NFL Style Guide – Week 7

0

Week 7! Lot of football, lot of fits. I’m not wasting another second, let’s dive in.

Charvarius Ward

I can’t quite place the brand of the sweater, but it’s super nice. I’m a big fan of the tonal pinks with the big name going around the chest. It’s a unique piece that stands out well here. Ward is also carrying his custom Prime Society bags.

Brian Hoyer

This is a classic, borderline European outfit. The crop style jacket looks almost velvety. Add the black denim jeans and the tan chelsea boots and Hoyer is dressed to a T.

Julio Jones

I’m a huge fan of the FW19 collection that Alexandre Mattiussi put out under his label AMI. Jones wore AMI’s pink logo sweater along with a pair of Versace sneakers. I’m always down for a splash of pattern in an outfit, the leopard print especially makes the shoes jump out.

Todd Gurley

Gurley walked to the Rams plane wearing the ever popular John Geiger 002 sneakers. The sold-out style went for $350 retail when released. I unfortunately don’t have an ID for the sweatsuit Gurley is wearing, but it’s a nice plaid pattern and I love the side zip. If you know the brand, plug the boy.

Mike Hughes

Hughes has had some excellent pregame fits this season, this week being no exception. An Off-White long sleeve tee is the baselayer under a beautiful jacket/shirt over top. The final piece here is the Rhude hat on top, which you can cop for yourself here. I’m waiting to see someone wear the new Rhude Rhecess high top shoes, which sold out at an alarming rate with a $595 retail.

Stefon Diggs

A Saint Laurent Cowboy fur jacket, which is absolutely insane, has me contemplating dropping 5k on a jacket. This thing is absolutely insane. Travis Scott Jordan 1 low’s also make an appearance which given the Texas connection make sense. Diggs was in his bag and what not.

Dalton Risner and Ron Leary

Speaking of Texas style. Dalton Risner and Ron Leary took the cowboy chic a different direction than Diggs and just threw a pair of overalls on, not bothering with a shirt, and popped a cowboy hat on top for good measure. I mean look at the smile on the face of the gentleman behind these two. That’s pure joy delivered by these all time outfits.

Jalen Mills

I seriously have no words for the explosion of colors that Mills is wearing here. You know when you put a green cap on a pink highlighter? I’m almost positive that was the inspiration Mills had in mind, but I can’t hate it. Who else could wear a fluorescent pink suit like this?

Malcolm Jenkins

Jenkins is consistently one of the best dressed dudes in the league week in and week out. I don’t know if he has a dedicated stylist or if this is all him but either way, I’m a huge fan of this suit and it’s executed perfectly. Also, big ups to the photographer because this feels like a GQ feature.

Dwayne Harris

Part of Virgil Abloh’s collection with LV the multi logo windbreaker is one of the most unique in the grouping. It feels a lot like a racing team jacket with all of the logos on it. It feels ridiculous to say but at $2800 this is borderline reasonable for a Louis Vuitton jacket.

Johnathan Hankins

Buckeye grads are a proud bunch and love to represent their university. Hankins had on the Buckeye chain as well as the red O on the left chest of his black denim jacket. The hand painted jacket is super clean and has a nice texture that adds depth to the all black look Hankin is rocking.

Neiko Thorpe

Thorpe is wearing the Gatorade Jordan 1’s in the cyber colorway which go pretty closely, although not perfectly, with the green in the Sounders jacket he is wearing. Thorpe also added the Gucci tiger head belt to add that layer of luxury to the sports centered style.

JJ Watt

The Astros are in the World Series and JJ Watt was understandably psyched. So psyched, he wore his Altuve jersey backwards for arrivals to pay respect to the baseball legend that sent the Astros to the big dance.

Travis Kelce

“He looks like Macklemore if he wore luxury brands.” Can I really sum up Kelce’s fit any better than my wife did? I might go a step further and say that the jacket is top notch and looks like it’s made for a Serbian winter.
