Nike Celebrates 50 Years With Spike Lee “Seen It All” Film

Nike celebrates its 50th anniversary with a new brand film titled “Seen It All,” directed by and starring filmmaker Spike Lee.

In the film, Spike Lee reprises his role as Mars Blackmon from his 1986 film She’s Gotta Have It and plays chess against a young, confident protagonist named Zimmie, played by Indigo Hubbard-Salk. Spike Lee goes down memory lane, passionately commenting on epic sports moments and iconic athletes of the past 50 years. Zimmie, on the other hand, looks towards the future of sport and mentions some of today’s top athletes and up-and-comers. In total, the spot features footage over 40 athletes. One thing that Mars and Zimmie can agree, “it’s gotta be the shoes,” as Spike Lee shows off his 2006 “Mars” Air Jordan 4s, while Zimmie’s got the upcoming green Off-White x Nike Air Force 1s.
