Nike is releasing a fan-favorite colorway of the auto-lacing Adapt BB basketball sneaker. The “Wolf Grey” colorway is inspired by the Nike MAG that was featured in Back to the Future II (1989), a then-unreleased sneaker that introduced the self-fastening lace concept. While the Nike MAG has seen a couple releases, the 2011 release was not self-lacing and was limited to 1,500 pairs, while the 2016 release did feature self-lacing technology, but was limited to 89 pairs.
The Nike Adapt BB “Wolf Grey” will see a much wider release, giving the general public the opportunity to feel like Marty McFly. Pairing with the Nike Adapt app allows you to fine-tune the fit and customize the features from your smartphone.
The Nike Adapt BB “Wolf Grey” will be available online on May 29th at 9AM CT for a retail price of $350.
