Original Story (08/24/22): Along with a “NOLA” edition for New Orleans, Nike is also dropping an “H-Town” colorway of the Air Force 1 that pays homage to the city of Houston, Texas.
The “H-Town” AF-1 comes in a black and red color scheme, possibly as a nod to the Rockets. The materials are inspired by Houston’s slab (slow, loud and bangin’) car culture. Velvet makes up the majority of the upper, inspired by velvet-lined trunks with neon signs, while the metallic silver patent leather Swooshes represent the chrome finish on rims. Other details include “H-Town” wordmark lace dubraes, contrasting yellow stitching on the white midsoles, and cassette tape graphics on the insoles (RIP DJ Screw).
