Nike Air Force 1s Celebrating Korea’s Hangul Day

1

Original Story (08/09/21): With the Korea-exclusive Nike Dunk Low “Seoul” releasing soon in celebration of National Liberation Day, we now have a look at another Korea-themed Nike release, a special edition version of the Air Force 1 Low.

This Air Force 1 features sail-colored uppers with Korean characters (Hangul) embroidered on the quarter panels and toe box that translate to “Just Do It.” While most of the characters are embroidered in white, some come in red, blue, and yellow. These colors are part of the traditional Korean color spectrum, known as Obangsaek, along with white and black. The full Obangsaek appears on the heel strip and is also used on the Swoosh stitching and tongue tag.

Release details for this Korea-themed Nike Air Force 1 have yet to be revealed, though it is possible that these are intended for Hangul Day, a holiday celebrating the Korean alphabet that lands on October 9th. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
