Official Look: Nike Air Force 1/1 “Nike and the Mighty Swooshers”

0

Original Story (05/27/21): Nike is launching a new concept for the Air Force 1 called the AF 1/1, which allows wearers to customize the look of the shoe by switching out individual panels on the Velcro hook and loop upper. Already launched in an all-white version and with Nike By You options, the AF 1/1 has now surfaced in a new anime-inspired design.

As a tribute to otaku culture, this AF 1/1 comes equipped with various panels that feature anime, comic book, and manga graphics. A mudguard panel features a girl with pink hair wearing a spacesuit, while another features an angelic being with blue hair. One of the Swooshes features a Gundam-like design, while rear quarter panels feature a cartoony version of Nike’s basketball-headed alien team, the Roswell Rayguns. Rear heel panels feature a lenticular design with anime eye graphics. The tongue tag can also be customized, with options including anime eye patches, a Roswell Raygun alien, and a “Nike and the Might Swooshers” logo.

Purchasing other AF 1/1 pairs gives the wearer more panel options, allowing for further customization. Grab a look at the Nike Air Force 1/1 “Nike and the Mighty Swooshers” below. Expect this pair and more customizable Air Force 1/1 pairs to arrive later this year. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
