Since its inception, the Air Force 1 has had close ties with New York City. Nike is celebrating this connection with a tribute to the NYC bodegas that New Yorkers hold so near and dear to their hearts in the form of two Air Force 1s dubbed “White Bag” and “Pink Bag.” These colorways are inspired by the plastic shoppings bags used by these small grocery stores throughout the city.
The two pairs come adorned with special rose motifs, with green “AIR” lettering in the form of a stem and a red rose detail on the lateral midsole. The “White Bag” pair comes constructed in an all-white smooth leather upper, whereas the “Pink Bag” takes on an all-pink scheme. Both feature a Swooshed smiley face detail on the insole with “Have a Nike Day” text beneath it, as well as repeating Swoosh branding in red on the tongue label, all on top of a solid white rubber sole. The shoes comes packaged with its own convenience store bag, similar to the Nike Dunk Low SP “City Market.”
The Nike Air Force 1 “White Bag” and “Pink Bag” will release globally on February 25th via Nike.com and select retailers for a retail price of $110 USD.
