Over the course of its career, Nike has revamped, redesigned and retro-ized just about every sneaker possible. The time has come for the Nike Air Huarache to step up to bat. Following the return of the ’00 Stüssy collaboration, the Huarache now returns in another one of its cherished early ’00s colorways to celebrate the model’s 30th anniversary.
The Air Huarache “Escape” originally hit retailers in 2003 as part of an outdoors-themed Escape Pack but gathered dust on shelves for awhile after its release. Eventually, its value skyrocketed and solidified its place as a collector’s item and fan favorite. True to its original release, the 2021 “Escape” comes dressed in the same Bisque, Storm Grey, Rope color scheme. Earthy suede and neoprene overlays decorate the upper, with a white sole unit.
