Nike Sportswear draws inspiration from the morning caffeine buzz with two coffee-themed editions of classic silhouettes, the Air Max 97 and Daybreak.
The Nike Air Max 97 “Coffee” is constructed with a combination of leather, mesh, and suede, and a mix of brown hues all over. Orange mini swooshes on the sides and tongue detail the special edition shoe as well as a Neko Atsume-esque cat-in-a-mug graphic on the insoles. “ROASTED BY NIKE, INC.” and “97005” mark the inner tongue, a nod to the coffee theme as well as the postal code of the Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Nike also does a coffee-themed take on a the Daybreak, dressed in a White, Mahogany, and Grain color-scheme. Composed of a mesh base and suede overlays, “ROASTED BY NIKE, INC.” is stamped on the lateral heel with the Neko Atsume-esque cat in a mug graphic again found on the insoles.
