Nike Introduces the Air Max Flyknit Racer

0

The sneaker landscape in the early 2010s was very different from today. The Nike Flyknit Racer and Flyknit Trainer had the game in a chokehold when they debuted in 2012, only for popularity to decline with the rise of adidas BOOST in the second half of the decade. Ten years after the Flyknit Racer’s debut, the Swoosh now introduces the Air Max Flyknit Racer, recapturing the essence of the OG but with a modern twist.

The Air Max Flyknit Racer features a Flyknit upper, similar to the OG Flyknit Racer, though with added leather overlays for the eyelets and heel cap. The tooling, on the other hand, is pulled from the Air Max Pre-Day, a silhouette introduced in 2021. The Nike Sunburst logo appears on the insole, indicating that the shoe falls under Nike’s “Move To Zero” category and is made with at least 20% recycled content by weight. The first colorway of the Air Max Flyknit Racer to be unveiled is the “Oreo,” one of the most popular colorways of the OG Flyknit Racer.

Check out official images of the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer “Oreo” below. Look for these to arrive in the coming months on Nike.com and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
