Nike digs in the the archives to create a new pack revolved around many old favorites. Nike made several attempts at sunburst colorways in the 80’s, most notably the “Omega Flame” Mulyr, a mesh track spike that featured an orange, red, and yellow combo that mimicked the effects of the sun. With Nike remixing old classics with Engineered Mesh, it’s only fitting that 30 years later that apply a similar theme to bring in this mix of old and new.
The 7 shoes featured in the Air Max “Sunset” Pack are: the Air Max 1,90,180,BW,95,97, and 2009. Each shoe is fitted with the aforementioned EM upper and a white midsole and sprouts the sunset pattern from a black base to create a nice contrast and accurate depiction of the sun setting.
