Copping sneakers has never been so hard and Today, Nike switched up their release procedure once again. From the infamous crossword detection feature that was implemented a few years back, to now having to receive confirmation via text, the Swoosh continues to find different ways to be fair to it’s consumer and to beat those damn bots.
“At NIKE, we are committed to creating premium experiences for our consumers around the world. As part of this commitment, NIKE will be piloting a new online drawing system linked to our in-store launch events. Those entering the drawing will have an opportunity to purchase select NIKE launch product at participating NIKE stores in the U.S. See NIKE DRAWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS below.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Using one of our official NIKE store Twitter account, we will announce when/if launch products will be available via an online drawing.
To participate in the drawing, you must sign in with your NIKE+ account, which will be authenticated through a text message which will be received through your mobile device. If you do not have a NIKE+ account, you can sign up for one here. You will then receive a text message to your mobile device. Currently, only devices offered through a U.S. mobile carrier will be supported. Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) will not be supported as we work to make sure our product lands in the hands of real consumers. Each NIKE+ account will only support one verified mobile number. All registration and verification must be completed in advance of the drawing event. Swoosh.com accounts are not eligible to participate.
When the drawing is underway, you will select your desired shoe, size and NIKE store purchase location before the allocated time runs out. Styles, sizes, and purchase locations will vary based on product allocations. Entering for more than one shoe style does not impact your odds of being selected.
Once the drawing is closed and all entries are received, NIKE will conduct a random selection and notify participants of their eligibility to purchase the launch product via email within 24 hours. All entries submitted in the drawing have an equal chance of being selected. Speed of entry is not a factor as long as you submit your entry before the drawing closes.
Participants that are selected in the drawing will receive purchase details via email.
At time of purchase, a valid photo ID (state issued, passport, military or school ID) with a first and last name matching the NIKE+ account entered in the drawing is required to purchase the reserved shoes at the location stated in the drawing. Participants will not be able to transfer their eligibility to others.
All unclaimed products will not be available for purchase at another time.
Abuse and/or policy violations within the system will result in cancelation or disqualification in future events.

Winning entries are valid only at the selected NIKE store during the specified timeframe on the launch date. A valid photo ID is required to purchase.
You must be able to purchase in person at the selected NIKE store on launch day during the timeframe specified in the confirmation email. Valid photo ID is required(state issued, passport, military or school ID) with a first and last name that matches the first and last name tied to your Nike+ account. You may also be required to answer additional security questions to prove your identity. No proxies or transfers will be allowed and phone requests or adjustments will not be honored. Unclaimed pairs will not be made available for purchase at a later time.
Submitted entries cannot be modified.
NIKE employees cannot change confirmed NIKE store, shoe style or shoe size entries.
Entries are not transferrable.
Winning entries cannot be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise provided to anyone else. Evidence of such behavior by any account holder will result in disqualification. Entries have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash or for credit towards any purchase. NIKE will only redeem winning entries to the owners of the selected NIKE+ accounts.
The drawing process is subject to change at any time at NIKE’s sole discretion.

Who is eligible?
This Promotion is open only to legal permanent US residents who are thirteen (13) or older at the time of entry.
Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the promotion. Eligibility is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Who is sponsoring the Promotion?
The Promotion is sponsored by NIKE USA, Inc., One Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, Oregon 97005 (the “Sponsor”). Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the promotion if it cannot be operated, conducted or completed as planned, for any reason.
How do I participate?
Visit the registration page and complete registration. There is a limit of one (1) registration per person, per shoe style. Subsequent registrations will be void.
How will the eligibility to purchase launch product be provided?
The Sponsor will select the recipients in a random drawing of all entries received for each available shoe size. The odds of receiving eligibility to purchase launch product depend on the number of eligible entries received and availability of shoe sizes. The recipients will be notified by email and/or MMS (in Sponsor’s discretion) within twenty-four (24) hours of the drawing closing. If a recipient declines purchasing the launch product or does not show up to purchase the launch product during the designated time specified by email and/or MMS from Sponsor, has violated any of these Terms and Conditions, then an alternate recipient may be selected, at Sponsor’s discretion.
What is the recipient required to do?
Only those participants who receive winning entries are allowed to line up at their participating NIKE store during the specified time window provided to the recipient by email and/or MMS from the Sponsor to purchase the launch product. Confirmed recipients must provide a valid ID (State/Passport/Military/School ID) with a first and last name that matches the first and last name contained in the winning entry. Product will only be available for pick up at the NIKE store location that was selected during registration and may only pick up the shoe size that was selected during registration.
What can I receive?
Recipient will receive the opportunity to purchase the launch product at the NIKE store they selected during registration. Any details not specified above will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Eligibility to purchase launch product is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute eligibility with another promotion of equal or greater value if the product is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The recipient is responsible for any and all other costs and expenses not listed above.
What other terms should I be aware of?
Sponsor reserves the right to block and/or refuse sale to any participant in the drawing that Sponsor deems, in its sole discretion, has attempted to cheat or abuse the process, including through use of programs or scripts that allow users to automate their entries, or engaged in behavior that Sponsor deems as inappropriate. In addition, Sponsor reserves the right to block any user from following any of its Twitter accounts or websites, which would prevent the user from participating in the drawing. Factors that would cause Sponsor to block users include, but are not limited to, threats, harassment, annoyance, or any other behavior that Sponsor deems as inappropriate.
Consumers with winning entries must comply with all the post-confirmation steps in order to purchase launch product. While Sponsor attempts to fulfill all confirmed winning entries, Sponsor does not guarantee or warrant that every winning entry for a launch product order will be fulfilled.
The Promotion is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Promotion is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) cancel or terminate the Promotion; (b) suspend the Promotion to address the impairment and then resume the Promotion in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Terms and Conditions; or (c) award the eligibility to purchase launch product at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Promotion or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Promotion is severely undermined by any event beyond the control of Sponsor, including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, infection by computer virus, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or other cause not reasonably within the control of Sponsor (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Promotion without any further obligation.
By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its parent and related companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Promotion or purchase of launch product, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or purchase of launch product. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of participating in the Promotion, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. Entrant agrees that the Released Parties have made no warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to any eligibility to purchase launch product.
How will disputes be handled?
Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Promotion or any awarded eligibility to purchase launch product shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of Oregon. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Oregon, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Oregon or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Oregon.
