In-line with Nike’s ongoing sustainability efforts, the brand introduces its “Play for the Future” collection of signature basketball footwear that will release in celebration of Sunday’s NBA All-Star festivities.

Consisting of the latest signature models of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyrie Irving, Paul George, and Kevin Durant, the pack is inspired by each athletes’ passion for clean air, renewable and recycled energy, safe agriculture, and clean water. Each shoe is aptly named after the overall mission for the sustainable efforts, “Play for the Future.” Take a closer look at each pair below.

Nike LeBron 18 “Play For The Future”

In a crisp display, this Nike LeBron 18 offers a visual tribute to the unpolluted air necessary to perform on and off the court. The iced white Knitposite uppers meet a multicolor Regrind material on the tongue and heel overlays, which are environmentally-friendly, of course. The iced offering gives way to the extended heel counter that pairs with the blue-toned midsole. Available March 7th on Nike.com and select retailers.

Nike Zoom Freak 2 “Play For The Future”

Mirroring Giannis Antetokounmpo’s lively personality, on-court presence, and humble beginnings, the Freak 2 in this pack marks the way Nike Basketball’s looks out for future generations. In many ways, the more we recycle, the more the good comes back. Neon green accented overlays contrast the purple base, while speckled laces, tongue branding and Swoosh tie the ensemble together. Available March 7th on Nike.com and on March 12th at select retailers.

This Nike Kyrie 7 praises Irving’s plant-based lifestyle with abstract graphics on the orange upper, caged by netted layers, held together with a black heel meeting the pink midsole and teal outsole. The forefoot and Swooshes contain Regrind pieces. A “KI” logo on the heel sprouts flower petals and the individual tongue branding meshes Kyrie’s logo and an “ASW.” Available March 7th on Nike.com and select retailers.

The lateral mimics ripples in the water while the Swooshes match the accents in the multicolored laces and heel tabs. The muted green outsole also has smooth water-like ridges to keep in-theme.
