Original Story (06/08/20): The Dunk craze continues as news of an upcoming black and yellow Dunk High has surfaced. This color scheme originally hit the Dunk High on the 1985 “Iowa” colorway, but was popularized when Nike created the “Wu-Tang” Dunk Highs in 1999, of which only 36 pairs are believed to exist, a reference to the hip-hop group’s album Enter the WuTang (36 Chambers).

While the specifics on this upcoming release is unknown, we do know that this will be an SP (Special Release) and will come dressed in Black and Varsity Maize. The exact color blocking and materials have yet to be confirmed. To give you an idea of what to expect, we’ve included photos of the most recent black and yellow Dunk High, the “Black Varsity Maize” from 2012.

The upcoming Black/Varsity Maize Nike Dunk High is slated to arrive as early as Holiday 2020, yet an early 2021 release is also high likely. Check out the 2012 version below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on this release.
