Nike Dunk High “Year of the Tiger” Packed With Good Fortune

0

Following the reveal of the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Tiger,” we now have a reveal of a High version, and it comes packed with even more details.

Releasing as part of Nike’s 2022 Lunar New Year collection, this Dunk High adopts the same color blocking as the Lows, with off-white suede on the toe and black suede on the quarters and rears, almost like a yin and yang. On the toe boxes is gold Chinese embroidery, with “辟邪” (“ward off evil”) on the right shoe and “招财” (good fortune) on the left. The tongue detail is also interesting, as it features a pouch-like flap with golden cloud and Nike logo embroidery. Unbutton the flap and you can see three gold ingots, symbols of prosperity and wealth.

Adding texture to the shoe are intricate Chinese patterns on the Swooshes and eyelet and ankle overlays, as well as the tiger stripe embroidery on the heel. Additional features include a mini gold Swoosh embroidered on the lateral toe, a satin gold sockliner with embroidered details representing three different shapes of jade, and a translucent orange outsole with tiger pattern. The shoe comes with a black square towel and is packaged in a special black and gold box.

Check out official images of the Nike Dunk High “Year of the Tiger” below. Unfortunately, these come in grade school sizes, and for all we know may be Asia-exclusive (hopefully not). Best bet may be StockX, GOAT, eBay, etc., but stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
