Nike is set to launch a new Dunk High EMB (EMB standing for “embroidery”), dressed in the Lakers’ purple and gold. The shoe features a Sports Specialties theme, paying homage to the sports cap company that Nike bought in 1992.

This Nike Dunk High captures an ’80s and ’90s-era sports aesthetic, with throwback Sports Specialties branding adorning the tongue tags and “NIKE” embroidery on the lateral heel in the Los Angeles Lakers typeface. Black textile, similar to material used on caps, is used for the base of the shoe while Court Purple leather is used for its overlays, and Opti Yellow leather for the Swoosh. The insoles come in green with a “One Size Fits Most” detail, made to resemble the inner brim of a Sports Specialties cap. The upper sits atop a white midsole and black rubber outsole.

The Nike Dunk High PRM EMB “Lakers Cap” is slated to launch worldwide on April 29th via Nike.com and select retailers. Check out the shoe below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
