Original Story (06/14/21): Earlier this year, Nike released its “Sports Specialties” collection, drawing inspiration from the Sports Specialties team hats of the ’80s and ’90s for a three-pack of shoes each honoring a pro sports teams from Los Angeles. A new “Sports Specialties” Dunk High has now surfaced that will likely follow that release.
This Dunk High high features a white, navy, and green color scheme, possibly as a nod to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The base features a navy corduroy construction, the overlays come dressed in white leather, and the Swoosh comes in a pine green corduroy. On the lateral heel is a patch that reads “Official Nike Basketball Merchandise,” while the tongue tag come with Sports Specialties logo and traditional Nike branding. To continue the sports cap theme, the insoles feature a graphic that reads “One Size Fits Most.”
