Original Story (03/13/21): The Nike Dunk’s history is rooted in college basketball. The model served as the team sneaker for some of the top college basketball squads, each getting their own colorway in the 1985 “Be True To Your School” Pack. UNC, however, was not a Nike-sponsored school at the time. UNC-themed Dunks have since released over the years, with another one soon on the way.
Following the hype of the Air Jordan 1 “University Blue” drop, Nike offers a Dunk Low dressed in a white and University Blue color scheme. Not to be confused with the recently released “Coast” colorway, which featured hits of gold on the tongue tag and heel, this Dunk comes in the classic two-toned color blocking.
The Nike Dunk Low “University Blue” launches this spring via SNKRS and select retailers. Check out this upcoming colorway below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for release info.
