Nike has teamed up with BAIT Japan for an early release of Nike’s “Hidden Message” pack originally meant to coincide with the postponed 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
The three shoes in the pack each take a similar conceptual route—while everyone’s excited about the Olympics, we’re all really watching for the medals. Accordingly, both the Air Force 1 (reprising the 2004 AF1 “Olympics”) and Air Max 95 in the collection feature a blue, yellow, black, green, and red color scheme (to match the colors of the Olympic Rings) on uppers with tear-away panels to reveal metallic bronze, gold, and silver layers underneath. While the to-be-revealed layers under the Air Force 1 are consistent, the Air Max 95’s underlayers are different on every pair. Rounding out the pack, the Air Max 2090 uses a similar color scheme but makes use of the model’s translucent overlays and materials to present a damage-free look at the metallic podium colors alongside the bright “rings” colored panels.
The Nike “Hidden Message” Pack is set to release via BAIT Japan’s webstore and in its two Japanese stores in Parco and Shibuya on August 29th.
