The Modern Notoriety team has a blast at all of the special events and activations that took place in Chicago during NBA All-Star Weekend. We stopped by Jordan Brand’s HUB23 space, located at General Richard L Jones Armory in Washington Park, where the original Air Jordan 11 “Concord” commercial was filmed. It hosted the CPS High School Basketball Championships as well as a post-game show by Lyrical Lemonade with surprise guest Playboi Carti. The space also housed installations to showcase Jordan Brand’s 8×8 Chicago Collaborators’ Collection.

We also stopped by Converse’s “Creative All Star Series” pop-up, a new traveling experience that brings together the brand’s global collective of creatives and shines a light on local talent across sport, music and art. We got a chance to sit in on a conversation between Chicago OG’s Don C and Ibn Jasper, as well as see performances by DaBaby and Roddy Ricch.
