Original Story (06/24/20): Earlier this month, Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) unveiled its summer 2020 collection that will be gifted to this year’s class. Even though the EYBL season was cancelled, it’s possible that Nike may still release some EYBL-edition sneakers this year.

Official images of a Nike Kobe 5 Protro EYBL have surfaced. While the Class of 2020 was gifted a tie-dye colorway, this pair is dressed primarily in Forest Green. The split EYBL / Kobe branding on the tongue comes in metallic red bronze, as well as the Swoosh. Additional details include a Speed Yellow sock liner and a peach-colored heel tab.

Update (08/08/20): The Kobe 5 Protro EYBL “Forest Green” has been added to Eastbay’s release calendar with an August 29th release date. Two other Kobe 5 colorways are also on there with an August release date: the “Big Stage” and “Lakers.”
