Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star” Release Date

0

Original Story (01/20/21): Nike kicked off its Kobe 6 Protro lineup with the release of the “Grinch” colorway in December. With many more Kobe 6s slated to drop throughout 2021 in celebration of the model’s 10th anniversary, it appears the next one on the release calendar is the “All-Star” colorway.

The Kobe 6 “All-Star” originally released in 2011 and was worn by Kobe Bryant during the 2011 All-Star Game, where he was named the game’s MVP after leading the West to a 148-143 victory on his home floor at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The shoe came in a red, black, and white color scheme to match the West team’s uniforms. The 2021 Protro edition is a direct retro of the colorway (with modern tech), down to the reptilian texturing, translucent outsole, and eyestays that read “LA” and “2011.”

Though the NBA All-Star Game has been cancelled this year, we can still expect to see All Star-themed sneaker releases throughout the month of February, including this one. Check out official images of the Nike Kobe VI Protro “All-Star” below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more exact release details.

Update (03/02/21): Now that the NBA All-Star Game is back on, a release date for the “All-Star” Kobe 6 Protro has been revealed. Catch the drop on March 15th via SNKRS and select retailers such as Dick’s, Footlocker, Eastbay, etc.
