Nike Introduces the Kyrie 7

0

Nike has officially unveiled the Kyrie 7, the seventh iteration of Kyrie Irving’s signature, custom-tooled basketball shoe.

The new model continues to place emphasis on multi-directional traction and court responsivity, carrying many design elements over from the Kyrie 6 that are purpose-built to complement Kyrie’s playstyle. The model retains the forefoot Zoom Air Turbo pod, the sidewall traction, and the Kyrie-specific design iconography (such as names of family members and occult symbols). New to the silhouette, however, are two TPU structures in place of the 6’s strap, a revamped traction system and composite mesh upper, and lack of molded logos on the shoe’s outsole for increased mobility.

Initial colorways of the Kyrie 6 will include the “Special FX,” a green and blue model inspired by movie magic; the “Expressions,” which highlights artists and creative expression using blue and peach colors; “Icons of Sport,” which pays homage to heroes and mentors from Kyrie’s past; and the “Soundwave,” a black, purple, peach, and blue model that represents Kyrie’s love of music. Images of other colorways, such as a Jimi Hendrix-inspired “Purple Haze” edition, have also surfaced through third-party reports.

The four launch colorways of the Kyrie 7 (Special FX, Expressions, Icons of Sport, Soundwave) will be available via Nike.com and select retailers on November 11th, while the “BK Black” colorway drops on November 23rd. You can take a look at photos of each colorway down below.
