Reports indicate that Nike Basketball will be releasing the first ever Retro of the LeBron 2 in 2022.
The Nike Zoom LeBron 2 was LeBron James’ second signature shoe with Nike, originally released in 2004. Key features of the model include Zoom Air on the forefoot and heel enclosed by a durable Pebay shell, a Xytel midfoot shank for stability, an upper constructed from leather and ballistic mesh, and a removable Velcro ankle strap. A low version was introduced shortly after in 2005.
Nike has retro’d various LeBron models, usually coinciding with the model’s 10-year anniversaries. However, LeBron’s first signature model, the Air Zoom Generation was brought back in 2017 without a tie-in to an anniversary. The LeBron 3 also saw a few releases in 2018 and 2019.
Look for the Nike LeBron 2 retro to release in September 2022 on Nike.com and at select retailers. Check out the OG “Black Crimson” colorway below as we await for more info.
