Nike has unveiled the latest installment in its City Connect Series for the 2022 MLB season. Following the reveals of the Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, and Colorado Rockies jerseys, the series now heads to LA with the unveiling of the Los Angeles Angels City Connect jersey.

The 2022 Los Angeles Angels City Connect jersey celebrates Southern California’s beach lifestyle and features vintage-inspired design elements that nod to retro baseball and surf style. The base color is representative of SoCal’s endless sandy shores and the blue numbers are characteristic of the Pacific Ocean. The team name on the chest is stylized in free-flowing cursive, while the uniform numbers draw influence by the simplicity of coastal lifeguard tower labels. Other details include two red bands on the left sleeve, nodding to the asymmetric stripes commonly found on mid-century surfboards, and a subtle palm leaf on the sleeve patch is representative of California’s signature palm trees.

The Los Angeles Angels will debut the new jerseys on-field on June 11th at home versus the New York Mets. Two more MLB teams will unveil new City Connect uniforms this season: the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres.

Check out the new Los Angeles Angels City Connect jersey below. The jersey and accompanying City Connect fan gear is available now on Nike.com, the Nike app, MLB Shop, and at the Angel Stadium Team Store.
