Nike has announced the latest collection in their overarching N7 series, a line of releases that celebrate and benefit indigenous and aboriginal cultures.
The Summer 2020 edition of Nike N7 features sneakers and apparel inspired by traditionally medicinal plants across the country, invoking an image of a healing, growing, and beautiful planet. The footwear lineup features a gray, pastel green, and hot pink Air Max 90, a floral Nike Venture Runner, a Kyrie 6 that pays tribute to his indigenous roots in the Lakota tribe, and a bold green Benassi Slide. The apparel releases, which feature tees, leggings, and crop tops, use similar colors and plant-based patterning.
The collection also serves to highlight Nike’s N7 Fund, which is dedicated to providing sports-based programming for indigenous youth and supporting education and career based organizations in their communities (including Indigenous 20 Something Project.)
The summer Nike N7 collection is set to drop June 21st on Nike.com and at select retailers.
