Nike’s N7 collection, a celebration of indigenous communities throughout North America, is set to receive a new addition in the form of a special edition Dunk Low.
The upcoming N7 Dunk Low comes dressed in a Dark Raisin shade of purple. Constructive detailing come through with a suede makeup, hand-stitched zig-zags and braided leather. The Swoosh showcases these elements and reaches into the heel. Tan tongue overlays that match the lace dubraes display the Nike N7 logo while other branding can be seen in the insoles. The entire shoe sits on a white midsole and gum rubber outsole, housed in a commemorative “N7” box.
Nike’s N7 fund, created in 2009, focuses on providing Native American and Indigenous youth in North America with healthier, happier and more successful opportunities. Since its beginning, the fund has awarded more than $8 million in grants to over 270 communities and organizations. Recipients are able to provide programs and assistance to increase physical activity, educational support and career development plans. It also prioritizes healthcare needs to benefit disproportionately impacted Native Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nike Dunk Low “N7” will likely see a June release. Secure a pair on the Nike website and select retail locations.
