Official Look at the Nike SB Dunk High “Doraemon”

Original Story (07/20/20): Japan was first introduced to Doraemon in December 1969, with his first full manga series published in January 1970. 50 years later, the robot cat from the future is getting some love from Nike Skateboarding in this upcoming colorway of Dunk High.

A Doraemon-inspired colorway of the Dunk High has surfaced. It features a white leather base with blue suede overlays, though slightly darker than the shade of blue used for Doraemon in the manga and anime. Red is used for the Swoosh, laces, and the lip of the tongue, the same color as Doraemon’s nose and collar. The bell on Doraemon’s collar is yellow, which is used on the tongue’s lace loop and on the tongue tag. The shoe even features a hidden stash pocket, a nod to Doraemon’s fourth-dimensional pocket from which he produces food, money, and other objects from the future.

The Nike SB Dunk High “Doraemon” is expected to release later this year exclusively at Nike SB Orange Label skate shops. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on its release.
