Nike SB didn’t hold anything back when designing this Dunk High Premium celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year. Not to be confused with a “Year of the Horse” release, the theme behind this sneaker is “Lucky Money/Red Envelope.” All-red sneakers were among the most hyped-up releases of 2013, and it’s about time the SB team played around with the theme. The result is a clean shoe in top quality suede and leather, featuring gold details on the outsole, Swoosh lining, and inner lining. Insoles feature the the Chinese characters for “Pressure” and “Years Old” in gold print as well. To top it all off, Nike SB included two lucky gold lace locks in a red money envelope to really push the theme.
If you’re planning on copping these, be ready with a master plan. The “Lucky Money/Red Envelope” Dunks are an Asia exlusive and are only dropping in Nike flagship locations in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and the Fly skateshop on January 18, followed by a general release at all Nike SB retail accounts in the Greater China area on January 21. Nike China’s online store will also drop the shoe.
