As a follow-up to 2019’s “Night of Mischief” release, Nike SB will be releasing a new Halloween-themed Dunk Low for 2021.
This SB Dunk Low features a mummy theme, with canvas uppers made to look like the bandages used to wrap pharaohs in ancient Egypt. This layer appears to tear away to reveal a grey layer underneath, matching the color of the suede Swoosh. Embroidery appears throughout the upper that mimic spider web threads, with an embroidered spider found on the left toe box.
Eye of Horus graphics appear on the inside of the tongue to continue the Egyptian theme, with additional features including mummy eyes on the heels and slimy green branding on the tongue tag. The insoles feature toilet paper roll graphics, a nod to DIY mummy costumes as well as the teepeeing of houses done by pranksters on Halloween. Various parts of the shoe glow in the dark, including the sole units, heel panels, tongue tag, and the embroidered spider. If that wasn’t enough, there appears to even be hidden details on the underside of the insoles: slimy “EEK!” and spider graphics.
Look for this Nike SB Dunk Low to release sometime before Halloween at your local skate shops, likely in late September. Check out detailed looks at the samples below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for official release details.
