Love it or hate it, Nike’s SNKRS app is woven deep into the fabric of modern sneaker culture; there’s a reason “SNKRS” trends on Twitter relatively frequently around drop dates.
To celebrate this year’s “SNKRS Day,” Nike has put together two Air Max 1s that celebrate the glory of the app’s famous (or infamous) “GOT ‘EM!” page. Along with a likely host of mega-hyped restocks, the Air Maxes are set to release via SNKRS on SNKRS day, which falls on August 8th this year.
The first of the two is an autumn-ready redress of the immensely popular lifestyle runner. The colorway comes equipped with a light brown durable mesh base and luxe dark brown leather overlays that feature a forefoot embossed Swoosh. The heel mudguard and primary Swoosh come in an even darker brown, adding up to a slick tonal colorway that’s instantly at home in any earth-toned wardrobe. The second colorway, on the other hand, comes in a tonal white colorway with high-tech materials and trades nearly all durable mesh for translucent synthetic overlays. Gray leather graces the shoe’s mudguards and Swoosh, and the model is rounded out by a translucent white outsole.
Both models in the SNKRS Day Pack feature an embossed “8 8 2020” logo on their heels as well as tongue-in-cheek SNKRS “GOT ‘EM!” branding on their insoles. Keep an eye out for both models to release early next month, and stay tuned for more news on SNKRS Day.
