Original Story (01/06/21): Nike has launched a LeBron PE “Vote Back” tournament on the SNKRS app to celebrate LeBron James’ fourth NBA championship win. Sixteen previously unreleased Player Edition colorways of LeBron signature sneakers from the past 18 years will go head-to-head in a single elimination NCAA-style tournament, with the winning PE getting a future release on the SNKRS app.

The PEs that can be voted on spanning King James’ entire legacy starting with his first signature shoe, the Air Zoom Generation, up to the LeBron 16. There are some tough matchups in the first round, such as Watch The Throne-themed LeBron 9 “Gold King’s Throne” versus the LeBron 6 “Cartoon,” which is inspired by the character Stewie from Family Guy. The fan-favorite LeBron 7 “Hardwood Classics” is also up for vote, though it is falling behind in the polls to the LeBron 11 “Fairfax.” Democracy is not a perfect system.

Check out the Round 1 matchups of the Nike SNKRS LeBron PE “Vote Back” tournament below and vote for which LeBron PE you want to see released now on the Nike SNKRS app.

Update (01/21/21): The Nike LeBron 10 “Ring Ceremony” PE has won the SNKRS Vote Back tournament, meaning that this pair will receive a SNKRS release at a later date. This PE was worn by LeBron James during the 2012-13 NBA season opening game, which served as the ring ceremony for his first NBA championship win with the Miami Heat. The shoe is dressed in gold, symbolizing the ring, while red and white accents are used to match the Miami Heat colors.
