Nike Sportswear “Air Max Running Club” Collection

Nike is paying homage to its running heritage with the Nike Sportswear “Air Max Running Club” collection.

The “Air Max Running Club” is Nike’s fictional track team and a nod to Athletics West, a real-life running team formed in 1977 by Bill Bowerman, Phil Knight, and Geoff Hollister that helped inspire the ’70s running boom. Styles in this collection feature Athletics West-inspired branding, throwback materials such as nylon and hairy suede, and a retro color palette. The collection spans various Air Max models including the Air Max 95, Air Max Plus, Air Max 97, and Air Max 90.
