Previously reported as the Nike Dunked, Nike has officially unveiled an all-new reconstructed version of the massively-popular Nike Dunk Low.

The model stands alongside plenty of reconstructed classics that Nike has offered as women’s exclusives, most notably 2018’s “1 reimagined” series that saw experimentation on the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1. While the model remains unmistakably a Nike classic in visual identity–its paneling, Swoosh, and coloring place it firmly within the heritage Nike basketball catalog–it offers significantly blown-up and rearranged construction elements.

Most notably, the model’s midsole has been extruded in multiple places and raised significantly to give the Dunk a platform feel. Additionally, the shoe’s leather overlays seem to fit intentionally loosely over the model’s durable mesh upper, and both the Swoosh and heel tab seem to be exaggerated to provide a style never really offered by the original model.

The Nike Women’s Dunk Disrupt is set to hit shelves on September 4th through, SNKRS, and select third-party retailers. This bold merge of the chunky shoe trend and a relatively inconspicuous silhouette is set to arrive in four initial colorways; an all-white model, a Game Royal redress, a black and white or “Panda” colorway, and a white and Gym Red model. Check out photos of the model down below and stay tuned for info on follow-up colorways.
