Notre Partners With EVERYBODY.WORLD For Their Latest Private Label Collection

0

The latest private label collection by Chicago’s Notre boutique is made entirely out of 100% recycled cotton and fleece, thanks to their new partnership with EVERYBODY.WORLD.

Based out of Los Angeles, EVERYBODY.WORLD specializes in ethically-made, non-seasonal basics. Their 100% Recycled Cotton jersey and fleece “Trash Collection” fabrics are the first of their kind on planet Earth. To create these fabrics, EVERYBODY.WORLD collects the waste fibers that are usually thrown away during the production of new yarn and processes them to remove all debris. The rough sheets of raw cotton are then turned into smooth cotton silver ropes through a process called carding. Finally, these ropes are spun into yarn. The recycled cotton yarn in a Trash tee is 18 singles, a bit heavier than the average tee on the market today.

To celebrate the release of the collection, Notre put together an installation in their store, detailing the process of how these 100% recycled fabrics are created. The installation includes a greenhouse build-out filled with 500 pounds of waste cotton shipped from the Carolinas. Notre also invited the founders of EVERYBODY.WORLD, Iris Alonzo and Carolina Crespo, to speak in the 15th installment of their Notre Talk series.

The Notre x EVERYBODY.WORLD private label collection is available to shop now in-store at Notre (112 N. Peoria St.) and will be available online later this week. The graphics are a mixture of homages to artists who’ve inspired the Notre team, like Ken Isaacs, and classic logo treatments. Check out photos of the collection and in-store installations below.
