Notre Reveals Their 2020 Vans Old Skool Collection

Original Story (10/19/20): Chicago-based retailers Notre have taken to Instagram to tease a follow-up to their widely acclaimed 2018 collaboration with Vans Vault.

While there’s little official imagery yet, two teaser photos show the pair’s packaging in the same green and off-white that the original pair featured. The box also features one of Notre’s common refrains, “There are many ways of doing things besides your own” (which can also be found on the shop’s private label clothing). We also get an extremely small sneak peek of the shoes themselves; what looks to be grey textured suede, dark green stitching, and a white midsole peek through the box’s tissue paper.

The shop’s previous pair with Vans was an Old Skool featuring hairy green and grey suede and the shop’s handshake motif in lieu of the model’s signature lateral stripe. While it’s unclear if the new shoe is also an Old Skool, it seems highly likely that the pair will feature similar colors and retain the handshake graphic.

You can check out both teaser images down below alongside a refresher on the look of the previous pair. Be sure to keep it locked to Modern Notoriety for official details on the Notre x Vans Vault 2020 collaboration as they’re revealed.

Update (10/22/20): Notre has revealed their latest collaboration with Vans, offering new colorways of their 2018 Old Skool. Options include monochromatic black and grey, along with dual-toned blue and red-orange, each colorway referencing a classic Vans model.

This release is rounded out with a two-piece capsule collection designed and produced by Notre, including the “Linking Hands” hoodie ($98) in Black and Heather Grey, and the “Many Ways” short-sleeved t-shirt ($36) in Black and Off-White.

The whole collections drops on October 31st via notre-shop.com. The Old Skools retail for $90 USD. Check out the four colorways below.
