Original Story (11/03/21): Following reveals of both white and black colorways, we now have a detailed look at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 and its packaging.

Virgil Abloh pushes the classic Air Force 1 to its limits with this upcoming release. Gone are the classic leather uppers, replaced with a synthetic translucent material with textured streaks throughout. A grid-like pattern appears on the heel overlays and forefoot strap.

The traditional cupsole is also revamped, now featuring a “melted” look similar to the footwear of Maison Mihara Yasuhiro. It also includes a visible Air bubble unit towards the heel and sections of spikes on the outsole dressed in forest green with pink and blue streaks.

Some familiar Off-White design motifs are also present, such as the Helvetica text on the medial side panels, the overlaces, and deconstructed clear Swoosh with orange tag. The packaging features an orange brick wall design (incoming “brick” jokes), with neon green on the inside of the box and sky blue tissue paper.

The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid is expected to release in May 2022 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the unboxing photos below.

Update (06/16/22): Both colorways of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid are confirmed to release on June 23rd on SNKRS and at select retailers. Official description:

Virgil Abloh’s legacy continues with the Air Force 1 Mid. Celebrating 40 years of AF1, he reimagined the legendary silhouette through the futurist lens.

Lightweight, airy mesh with woodgrain pattern brings a utilitarian edge, while the spiked outsole connects directly to the ISPA philosophy of “Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt.” And as always, Virgil left room for others to be creative—the design pairs traditional laces with a secondary set that loops through Flywire cables. The result: a modernized and experimental reflection on history’s most revered shoe.

Update (06/15/22): Official images of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “White” have arrived. This colorway and the black pair are currently expected to drop on June 23rd. Stay tuned for an official announcement.
