Original Story (05/20/21): Following a few early rumors and teasers, we now have a detailed look at the upcoming Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “University Gold.” This will be Virgil Abloh’s seventh iteration of the Air Force 1, following the “MCA” release in 2019.

This Off-White Air Force 1 features a smooth leather upper and a rubber sole unit completely covered in University Gold. A crinkled metallic silver swoosh dresses the side panels with exposed black stitching. An orange tag is attached to the lateral Swoosh, while the “Off-White for Nike” text is printed behind the medial Swoosh. Additional features includes black “AIR” branding on the midsoles, an exposed foam ankle collar, a white Off-White tag stitched to the side of the tongue, and a University Gold zip-tie attached to the laces.

The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “University Gold” is expected to launch in July to coincide with the opening of Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit at the The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, similar to how the “University Blue” colorway launched when the exhibit hit the MCA in Chicago in 2019. According to a recent IG post, the shoe is “coming soon at select Off-White™ boutiques.” This may mean the EM PTY Gallery in NYC and the Off-White flagships in Miami and Las Vegas. Update (05/25/21): Official images are in! According to a recent Off-White IG post, this “Lemonade” colorway will be what the staff at ICA/Boston will be wearing during the “Figures of Speech” exhibit, so expect these to be as hard to obtain as the MCA pair. Check out the photos below and stay tuned for any release details.
