When you think of Palace footwear collaborators, the first brand that comes to mind is likely adidas. There have been others, of course, such as Reebok, Vans, and Salomon. Now, for the first time ever, a Palace x New Balance collab has been unveiled.

The London-based skate label is teaming up with New Balance on the release of a collaborative 580. This silhouette was first introduced in 1991 in Japan and appears to be making a big comeback soon, as Stray Rats also has its own iteration on the way.

The Palace x New Balance 580 has appeared in two colorways, each dressed in a ’90s-inspired color palette and featuring a mesh base with hairy suede overlays. One comes in a mix of light and dark greys with hits of teal, while the other incorporates grey, yellow, purple, and dark teal in its color scheme. Palace branding appears on the tongue tags and lace dubraes, as well as embossed across the heel. Additional features include stash pockets on the tongues and the return of Rollbar technology for heel stabilization.

The Palace x New Balance 580 below launches at Palace locations and on the Palace website this Friday, September 23rd. The release will then be available on the New Balance website on September 30th. Check out both colorways below.
