Original Story (01/22/21): Paperboy and New Balance recently teased an NB 992 silhouette that may pair well with breakfast. The duo collabed on a collection early last year that drew inspiration from the “restaurant meets streetwear” brand with 801s themed after a Tuna Tataki Sandwich, Ginger Lemonade, and a Coffee Latte.
Likely a nod to the Parisian takeout’s brunch menu, Paperboy hinted through an Instagram post that the shoe will take inspiration from poultry with an off-white color palette, complete with white, cream and beige paneling, white laces and yellow accents which mimic the legs of the chicken shown in the teaser.
The Paperboy x New Balance 992 will launch at the Paperboy Paris location on January 30th, followed by a wider release down the line. Check out the announcement post below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on this release.
Update (01/25/21): Following the initial teaser post, we now have a detailed look at the Paperboy Paris x New Balance 992. Upon closer look, we see that the shoe features an egg theme with sunny-side egg graphics on the tongues and insoles.
