Following Ch. 1 and Ch. 2, Patta has now unveiled the third chapter of its 4-part “The Wave” film and Air Max 1 series in collaboration with Nike.
Titled “Forward,” the focus of the third chapter in the film series shifts back to Abdul after the introduction of his sister Carista in chapter 2. In it, we see the power of resilience as Abdul pushes forward in his run. This chapter explores the themes of strength of community and how sport and running connects to mental health.
The film also introduces the third colorway of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1, the “Rush Maroon.” Like the first two colorways, this one comes with a grey mesh base, though this time the wavy mudguard and overlays are leather instead of nubuck. The color blocking has also been updated, with the titular Rush Maroon hue now also dressing the overlays and tongue. A touch of orange is incorporated on the top eyelets, sockliners, and Nike Air on the heels. As a final touch, this colorway also features a bit of shine with a metallic silver trim on the Swoosh.
Patta’s accompanying apparel for this release includes a maroon hoodie and jogging pants, “Team Patta” tees in two colorways, and a re-up of the Patta Wave Sports Socks.
