Original Story (09/07/20): In 2016, Pharrell and adidas came together for a new version of the NMD, the NMD Human Race (NMD HU for short). At the time, the NMD was hugely popular and the Pharrell version was an instant hit. The sneaker landscape has changed drastically since then. BOOST and NMD hype today is nowhere near where it was four years ago. Nevertheless, Pharrell and adidas are poised to revive the hype with new colorways of the NMD HU.
Following a reveal of the “Black” colorway, we now have a look at the upcoming “Chocolate” colorway. This release features a chocolate brown Primeknit upper with Korean character embroidery. The TPU lacelocks and its attached midsole block are dressed in grey, as well as the Pharrell x adidas branding on the heel tabs. The ankle collar comes in black, while the BOOST midsole is dressed in chocolate brown to match the upper.
