Pigalle Pairs with Nike & Converse on Latest Collab

1

Nike and Stéphane Ashpool’s Pigalle have revealed a unique capsule that celebrates a mutual love for basketball. The apparel and footwear collection is a sight for sore eyes, but the partnership doesn’t stop at fashion. The two have continued their joint efforts of supporting community-building through court architecture.

Nike and Pigalle first collaborated in 2014. Ashpool, a big fan of basketball, worked with Nike to renovate an old parking lot into the city’s symbol for safe sport spaces. In 2019, a second court opened in Beijing, made from 45,000 pairs of recycled shoes. Two more courts were opened in Mexico City in late 2019.

Though his efforts have sparked a global impact on safe sport spaces, Ashpool believes his latest Nike collab to be the “uniform of the program.” Pigalle, known for 90s-inspired apparel that’s functional on and off the court, stayed true to brand in the collection. You can find chore jackets, mesh tops, hoodies, a collaborative pair of Court Borough Highs, and a satin pajama-like set.

Pigalle also linked with Converse to bring a fresh take on two classic sneakers: the Converse Chuck 70 and the Converse All Star Pro BB. The Chuck 70 comes in two colorways, one in the “Lightning Storm” colorway and the other in the iconic natural canvas. The Chuck 70 comes equipped with elaborate tech construction for a modified rendition of the classic silhouette.

The latest Nike x Pigalle Collection and the Converse x Pigalle Chuck 70 and All-Star Pro BB release globally on January 25th.
