The Pokémon franchise is still alive and well in 2019. The Detective Pikachu movie is hitting theaters this Friday. The eighth generation games, Sword & Shield, are releasing later this year. Now we also have a peak at a couple upcoming Pokémon x adidas sneakers. First images of the Pikachu and Squirtle themed sneakers surfaced in March, but now we have an on-feet look of the Pikachu pair.
The shoe features a white leather upper on a low-top silhouette, similar to the Canvas. Illustrations of the featured Pokémon are printed all over the entire upper and an embroidered patch of the Pokémon takes over the medial side of the upper. Yellow heel tabs and aglets add a dash of color to the Pikachu pair, while the Squirtle pair features blue heel tabs, aglets, and tongue tabs.
No official release date has been announced, but expect to see these dropping later this year.
