Chicago skateshop Prosper will be raffling off a pair of rare Nike SB Dunk Low samples and four hand-dyed versions of their sold-out Grateful Dead tees to benefit Enlace Chicago, an organization whose goal is to improve the quality of life of residents of the city’s Little Village neighborhood.

The rare sample pair has a similar construction to the “Red Patent Leather” colorway that released in 2015, though there are some obvious differences. The red textile mesh base is white on this sample pair and is also used for the toebox, which came in red patent leather on the retail release. Also of note is the outsole — the one on the retail release was translucent red, but this sample pair’s outsole is icy clear.

The Grateful Dead tees were released earlier this year to coincide with the launch of the Grateful Dead Dunks and featured a design by local artist Eric Pagsanjan. The OG tees came in white, though the ones in this raffle were hand-dyed by Judy Lynn textile design studio.

Enlace Chicago provides the Little Village neighborhood with resources to promote health, education, and violence prevention, as well as free legal services and policy advocacy for immigrant families. The money donated in this raffle will help the organization launch its “EnlacARTe” program, which will provide the youth of the neighborhood a safe space for art creation and education.

The raffle will open at 11AM CT on August 20th and will end at 7PM CT on August 30th. To participate in the raffle, head over to the Featured Apparel section of Prosper’s website to make a donation of $3 and indicate your tee size. One donation of $3 equals one entry. There will be five winners: four tee winners and one Nike SB Dunk Low sample winner. Additional details in Prosper’s IG post below.
