PUMA & AMI Launch Debut Collaborative Collection

PUMA has built strong relationships within the world of Parisian fashion, evidenced by collabs with labels like Maison Kitsuné and the global sportswear brand’s new partnership with AMI. Founded by Alexandre Mattiussi in 2011, AMI expresses friendship and community through the medium of fashion. For this collaboration, PUMA and AMI expand on the idea of happiness through friendship and the environment that surrounds them.

“The partnership with AMI was a no-brainer, their name literally means ‘friend’ and that’s what PUMA is all about – a community, a family,” says Adam Petrick, Global Director of Marketing for PUMA. “We are exceptionally pleased to be able to partner with a creative mind in Alexandre that truly understands the elevation of classic sportswear silhouettes, as well as the creation of community through a positive message.”

Leading the collection is four PUMA footwear silhouettes, including the Slipstream Lo, Slipstream Mid, Suede Crepe, and the newly released Suede Mayu. All models are dressed in a neutral color palette, incorporating white leather, beige suede, and gum rubber outsoles in their designs. The AMI de Coeur heart design is combined with PUMA’s logo for a hit of co-branding on the tongue tags. The minimal branding allows the natural colors and premium materials to shine.

The apparel selection is inspired by “a new era of achievement,” one that doesn’t conform to a specific gender, individual, or appearance. The apparel includes an assortment of t-shirts, polos, jackets, hoodies, shorts, crews, pants, and bras that mix and match to build a full wardrobe. Accessories include a bucket hat, curve caps, shoulder bags, and a grip bag.

Select styles from the PUMA x AMI collection are available now on the AMI website and select European retailers, with a wider release to follow on May 6th on PUMA.com, the PUMA NYC flagship, and US retailers.
