Puma to Release a “Super Mario 64” RS-Dreamer

Puma has been rolling out the RS-Dreamer fast and furious. Originally a collaborative basketball shoe with J. Cole, the shoe has already seen multiple significant colorway releases and has been consistently spotted on the feet of PUMA athletes during the modified NBA and WNBA seasons. Now, however, the shoe is set to get its first third-party redress in a team-up with Nintendo.

The “Super Mario 64” edition of the RS-Dreamer celebrates the 35th anniversary of Super Mario by incorporating the signature red-blue-gold color scheme of Mario’s outfit and the coins he picks up in-game. The model’s ProFoam midsole uses a blue-white gradient for a unique and eye-catching look, but the rest of the shoe is unmistakably Mario; the upper is primarily a rich red color and is accented by gold eyelet near the top of the eyestays, and the tongue features a “Super Mario” stitched tab. The shoe is rounded out by printed Super Mario 64 insoles and power-up star detailing on the heel.

The RS-Dreamer “Super Mario 64” is set to hit shelves both online and in-store at Foot Locker family brands (including Foot Locker, Champs, Eastbay, and Footaction) and PUMA’s website this Friday, September 4th, in both adult and junior sizing for $125 and $100 respectively. Check out official shots of the model down below.

In other gaming-related sneaker news, Nike recently announced a gaming-themed footwear and apparel lineup.
