PUMA has announced High Court by June Ambrose, the brand’s first-ever women’s basketball collection.
The High Court collection is the first drop from PUMA Women’s Hoops and is designed by June Ambrose, an award-winning creative director, stylist, costume designer, entrepreneur, and all-around fashion legend who joined PUMA in 2020 as creative director. The collection was introduced with a black-and-white promo clip directed by Hype Williams and starring the WNBA’s Katie Lou Samuelson, Jackie Young, Breanna Stewart, and Skylar Diggins-Smith. Ambrose and Williams have worked together on various projects in the past, including the iconic music videos for “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” by Missy Elliot and The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money Mo Problems.”
The 25-piece collection spans across apparel, footwear, and accessories for both on and off the court. Sporty pieces include leggings, sports bras, and shorts, while the faux-fur jacket dressed in leopard-meets-camouflage is ready for the street. Oversized rugby sets inspired by the ’90s are unisex, so men can also get in on the fun.
“I’m trying to redefine what it means to be stylish in sport,” Ambrose explains to Vogue. “I wanted the collection to be bold and impactful, to speak to the foundation of what a player needs off and on the court, but through a stylized lens.”
The PUMA “High Court” collection coached by June Ambrose drops on December 1st at the PUMA NYC flagship and on PUMA.com.
