Reebok is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Question Mid, Allen Iverson’s first signature shoe, with a reissue of the sneaker’s OG suede-toe execution detailing from 1996.
In honor of the anniversary, Reebok has also issued Beyond Question, a limited-edition magazine describing the life and legacy of Allen Iverson, the immortal Question Mid, and A.I.’s cultural impact for a new generation. The magazine includes interviews from ‘key players’ from Iverson’s life including high school coach/manager Gary Moore, Question designer Scott Hewett, streetwear designer Eric Emanuel, photographer Quil Lemons, and all finalized by Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harell. The interviews help paint the picture surrounding the life of former Philadelphia 76ers guard and NBA Hall of Famer.
The Allen Iverson signature ‘Red Toe’ Question Mid comes in the same colorway and detailing from its debut in 1996. The full-grain leather upper contrasts with the red suede toe box along with a matching red upper heel. The shoe features Iverson’s signature number 3 is embroidered on the heel’s midsole and is finalized by an EVA midsole and all sitting atop abrasion-resistant iced out translucent outsoles.
The full Beyond Question magazine is live now on Issuu.com and Reebok is raffling off 75 limited printed copies featuring some that are signed by Allen Iverson. The proceeds from the raffle benefit BOKS, a physical activity program designed to help kids and underserved youth from around the country get active and establish a lifelong commitment to health and fitness. The prices for the raffle tickets are $10 USD for one ticket, $20 USD for five tickets and $50 USD for 10 tickets.
The Question Mid OG Red Toe “Insight” releases globally on August 21st at Reebok.com and at select retailers for a retail price of $140 for men’s sizing. The shoes will be releasing in a family size run.
