Before the current sandal and mule craze, there was the Reebok Beatnik. Introduced as part of the brand’s Fall 1994 Outdoor line, the sandal hybrid quickly gained cult status in Japan, even though it wasn’t made available in the country until over a decade after its launch. Now beloved worldwide, the Reebok Beatnik is getting a new hiking-inspired twist.

Introducing the Reebok Beatnik Moc. The shoe comes with the original Beatnik’s best features — slip-on functionality, center seam construction, and jagged outsoles — though is beefed up to be more like a hiking-friendly mocassin. Suede uppers are paired with a fitted neoprene collar that wraps around the front of the foot for a snug fit, while additional overlay panels provide extra support and protection. The Beatnik Moc launches in three colorway — Sandstone, Amber, and Obsidian — each equipped with a black sole unit.

The Reebok Beatnik Moc launches this month on Reebok.com and at select retailers. Check out all three colorways and the accompanying campaign imagery below.
